Bourbon Activated Pecan and Goat Cheese Baked Figs

Ingredients

  • 10 Small/Medium Figs
  • ¼ cup Bourbon Activated Native Texas Pecans
  • 2 oz Goat Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper
  • (Optionally) Thyme or Rosemary

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Cut off the stems and make an X ¾ of the way through each fig.
  • Chop the Bourbon Activated Native Texas Pecans and add them to a bowl, along with the goat cheese and thoroughly combine.
  • Using a small teaspoon, stuff the figs with the pecan/goat cheese filling. 
  • Add stuffed figs to a baking dish.
  • Drizzle with honey and add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Bake for 5 minutes at 400 degrees until soft and juicy, then broil on high for 2 minutes.
  • Top with additional chopped Bourbon Activated Native Texas Pecans and a sprig of fresh rosemary or thyme if you wish.
  • Serve on a cheese board or paired with a glass of wine for your perfect fall evening!
